FAREPAK chairman Clive Thompson could be stripped of his knighthood following the collapse of the company, it has been reported.

The House of Commons forfeiture committee is now looking into the scandal and has the power to remove his title.

Livingston MP Jim Devine called for the action to be taken against the head of Farepak's owner European Home Retail.

Sir Clive was spotted boarding a flight to Argentina earlier this week for a holiday with wife Judith.

The Swindon-based Christmas hamper and savings firm went bust last month leaving thousands of families out of pocket.
